FEEDERplus combines the advantages of linear and articulated arm robots, carrying out linear motions and orienting components into different directions during transfer between the presses thanks to additional, rotating axes. Featuring five or six axes, FEEDERplus™ units reach the required degrees of freedom for such motions.
Thanks to its linear, overlaying motion sequences, this feeder type is considerably faster than conventional robots. The motion sequence allows the feeder to transfer up to 12 large parts per minute easily and concisely. Moreover, operating costs are reduced, since two toolings per press gap and die set are rendered unnecessary.
Blank Turnovers
In combination with dual feeders Strothmann supplies servo driven, free programmable turnover units. Thus allowing blanks out of double action presses to be turned without loss of cycle time.
